| looks like another transmission will be needed - this will be the third transmission in almost 4 years! I had the TPS replaced because that was malfunctioning. I should've done it two months ago but I have a habit of putting things off, so hesitation @ 3800 rpm second gear only, is gone. The real bad news is that it seems like one of my seals inside the automatic transmission has gone bad, even though I've only put on 20,000 miles on this transmission, which has been in since 11/97. With the bad seal, I'm not able to get enough pressure - result..transmission skips in and out of 3rd and 4th. On top of this, I need a new driveshaft. Estimate so far for labor: $400 to install auto. transmission, $200 to install the drivewhaft. I'm figuring that I can get a used tranny for roughly 500-600, and a custom driveshaft for $200, plus about $100-150 to ship them. total comes to roughly: $1400-1550. also, does anyone have an idea what the 'inhibitor switch' is? any info on it would be appreciated. anyone want to buy a 90 two plus two, stage 3? first $3800 in my hands can have it.
